UHMW Octagonal APD These are only for use on fiberglass arrows. Specifications of the UHMW Octagonal APD: This APD is solid UHMW Rod. This APD is 1.25" in diameter and 1.25" in length. The bottom of the APD is cut to form an octagonal and to lighten the weight of the arrow. Instead of the hole, for the shaft, it's in one of the corners. An adhesive is used to attach the APD. An additional method to secure the APD is recommended. Usually there will be a slot cut into the bottom of the APD to use as a nock. Because of the way this APD is made, it shouldn't strike your bow. If you cut two slots into the bottom of the APD, you can use them for left-handed or right handed archers. I'll add some photos sometime next week. Back to the main APD page.
