Specifications of the UHMW Round APD: This APD is solid UHMW Rod. This APD is 1.25" in diameter and 1.25" in length. A hole is drilled in the center of the APD, for the diameter of your fiberglass shaft. The APD is then tapered from the back, nock end to the shaft. The shaft fits at least .5" into the APD. An adhesive is used to attach the APD. An additional method to secure the APD is recommended.

Usually there will be a slot cut into the bottom of the APD to use as a nock. These APDs usually require a special bow rest, so they don't strike the bow on release.
