__________________________________________________

Approved for use on Fiberglass Shafts only

1.100, 160, and 200 psi Siloflex* APDs. These must have either an external or internal tab and/or a routed channel

2. Octagonal and Round 1 1/4" UHMW APDs (arrows only)

3.Foam Wedge APD (arrows only)

4.Rigid Funnel APD (arrows only)

5.Asgard APD

  • All Siloflex APDs must have either rounded edges or the sharp edge has to be cut/sanded/smoothed. This is the inner and outer edge for the front and the back of the APD. Putting tape over the edges is not sufficient.
  • No APD should have sharp edges
  • No PVC APDs.
  • Check the Siloflex equivalent page if you can't find a local source, for a list of other types of Polyethylene tubing that have been approved as equivalent and acceptable substitutions
  • If you want to make a modification of an approved design, such as using it on wood, when it's only been tested on fiberglass, please contact me first. That would be an experimental design.
  • Modifications, anything different than the design specifications (like not using a routed channel or a tab) is a significant difference and must be approved for testing, before it can be used on the field.
  • If you have any questions on an APD design, please contact your Kingdom Earl Marshal/Kingdom Combat Archery Marshal and/or the DSMCA
  • If you have any ideas for new designs, please contact your KCAM and/or the DSMCA

Thanks,

THL Tessa the Huntress, DSMCA

The experimental testing procedure for APDs

Testing Report form for APDs

Current APD designs approved for experimental testing. This does not mean anyone can go use and test these designs. If you are interested in doing so, you must first check with your KEM/KCAM and receive their permission first. This section lists those designs where that archer/tester has followed the proper procedure and has gotten permission to test the APD at events.
